My junior year is by far my hardest year yet. My freshman and sophomore years were a breeze compared to this year so making the transition to a junior is tough mainly because I have to do a lot more work and put a lot more effort into my learning. My hardest class so far this year is my English 11 class because none of my other classes require me to do the amount of work as English does. It also does not help that I procrastinate far too much and it is a bad habit that I need to get rid of before it begins to seriously affect my grades and ability to learn. My junior year has also been a bit of a let down from the get go because I came to school this year hoping I would be able to finish my engineering career pathway but this year my school canceled the second and final year of the engineering pathway and did not bother to help me finish my career pathway and just decided to put me in classes I didn't need instead of working something out with me so I could finish my career pathway. Engineering was my dream job and I want to go to school to be a triple major in aerospace, mechanical, and chemical engineering. However my junior year has also been a lot of fun because I was able to find something I am passionate about, and that is music. This year I was able to take guitar and Ms. Wills is impressed by how well and fast I have learned to play the guitar and how well I can read and write sheet music with such ease. She even told me she wished I had taken guitar my freshman year because I might have been able to be in honors or at least advanced. I also got to take Algebra II, Wood shop, and Tech Advanced all because I did not get to take engineering. Because one door closed four more opened up and I have learned so much from these classes. Algebra II is a class I find to be really easy and has helped me further improve my math solving abilities and understanding of more complex math and has given me the math skills I will need as an engineer. Wood shop is one of my favorite classes this year and is also quite easy and has given me the ability to draw out plans, then the ability to turn those simple drawings into something real, it is a shame Mr. Rodriguez will be retiring this semester. Tech advanced may be my least favorite class, in fact I do not like it all, but it has taught me how to properly type a resume and cover letter among other types of important formal documents and has taught me more about how to use Microsoft Office. All in all my junior year so far has had some ups and downs but this semester has given me a lot of skills and opportunities that will help me later on in my life.
